The atelier
Pima cotton, and how to keep it.

The fibre
Pima is a cotton with an unusually long staple. Long fibres mean fewer joins, fewer ends, less pilling — and a softness that doesn't wash out.
Wash
Cold cycle, delicate, like colours. A mesh bag helps. Skip the fabric softener — it coats the fibres and dulls the cotton over time. We use a gentle detergent; you should too.
Dry
Line dry in shade. The tumble dryer is the enemy of elastane — keep it for towels.
Keep
Fold, don't hang. Rotate between three or four pairs so each gets a rest. Done quietly, this is how a 30 € pair lasts three years.
