The Atelier

Stockholm,
slightly
undressed.

Alba Cotelle started as a frustration. Now it has a sewing atelier in Portugal.

A note from Lovisa

"I wanted cotton underwear that didn't feel like a compromise. Comfortable enough to forget. Beautiful enough to remember."

THE STORY SO FAR

Alba Cotelle exists because the right underwear didn't.

It started with Lovisa, in Stockholm, after years of searching for cotton briefs that felt as considered as everything else in her wardrobe. What she found was always one or the other — either practical and forgettable, or beautiful but synthetic. Never both.

So she made her own.

The idea is simple: what no one else sees should still feel like you. Effortless femininity, a calm fit, and just enough attitude to make it interesting. Nothing too sweet. Nothing too serious.

We design in Stockholm and produce in a small atelier in Portugal. Every piece is made to be worn, lived in, and forgotten about — in the best way.

Alba Cotelle is for women who want to feel considered — even in the parts of their wardrobe no one else sees.

For your body.
For your feeling.
For you.

Our Fabric

Held to a high standard, long before it reaches you.

Our pima cotton comes from Casa da Malha, a textile mill in Portugal that's been refining organic knits since 2017.

Their fabric is certified by some of the most recognised names in sustainable textiles — including GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and the Global Recycled Standard. They also hold ISO certifications for quality and environmental management, and SA8000 certification for fair labour practices.

In short: the fabric we start with has been held to a high standard, long before it reaches us — or you.

THE COTTON

Pima — longer fibres, softer against skin, and a fabric that only gets better with time.
